Conference Introduction

The 2nd Frontier Forum for Novel Fiber Materials and their Applications is one of the sub-forums of the CHInano 2021 Conference & Expo, which will be held on 27th-28th, October, 2021 in Suzhou Jinji Lake International Convention Center. The Forum is hosted by Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics (SINANO, CAS) , organized by Nanopolis Suzhou Co., Ltd.

The forum will gather together academic and industrial communities working on novel fiber materials. The themes of this forum will mainly focus on carbonene fibers, advanced fibers for thermal management, smart fibers, functional fibers and high-performance fibers, as well as their applications in the fields of energy, environment, wearables, and textiles. It aims to provide a platform for researchers in related fields to achieve the purpose of exchanging ideas, making friends, discussing the future development direction of novel fiber materials, and promoting the scientific development and technological innovation in related materials. Jin Zhang (Peking University Academician)
A New Direction for Graphene Application
Jin Zhang received his PhD from Lanzhou University in 1997. After a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Leeds, UK, he returned to Peking University where he was appointed Associate Professor (2000) and promoted to Full Professor in 2006. In 2013, he was appointed as Changjiang professor. He was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2019. He also is the Fellow of RSC. His research focuses on the controlled synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of carbon nanomaterials. Prof. Zhang has published over 300 peer-reviewed journal articles.

陶光明,华中科技大学武汉光电国家研究中心和材料科学与工程学院双聘教授、博士生导师、华中学者特聘岗教授、超构织物产业技术联合研发中心主任。陶教授致力于研究多材料特种光纤、面向腔内精准微创手术的柔性纤维医疗机器人以及康养全场景的智能织物技术等跨学科研究工作,先后在Science (1), Nature (2), Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. Microfluidic spinning - new technology and application of nano fiber manufacturing
Professor Su Chen (born October 25, 1964), as the Highly Cited Chinese Researcher (Elesvier), is a professor at State Key Laboratory of Materials-Oriented Chemical Engineering, Nanjing Tech University, China. He is also the director of Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals and Functional Polymer Materials, China. Prof. Chen received his PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from Nanjing Tech University in 2001. After postdoctoral research at the University of Massachusetts and the University of Southern Mississippi in the USA, he moved back to Nanjing Tech University as a full professor. His research interests include microfluidic spinning technology, frontal polymerization engineering, multidimensional inorganic-organic molecular assembly, quantum dots and photonic crystal materials. He is also engaged in research on engineering technologies in the fields of functional polymer materials, engineering plastics, semiconductor materials, fluorescent materials, LED light-emitting devices, water-based resins, etc. Till now Prof. Chen has presided over 12 national projects, published more than 260 research papers in famous international journals (e.g. Nat. Commun., J. Am Chem. Soc., Adv. Mater., Mater. Horiz., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.), and authored two monographs. Moreover, he has filed 60 patents and most of them have been very successful commercially. He has won 1 second prize of Natural Science Award of Ministry of Education, 1 second prize of Technology Invention Award of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, 2 third prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award, and 1 silver prize of International Nanotechnology and Applied Nanotechnology Achievement Competition

Display textile and functional system made from high-performing flexible fiber electrodes
Peining Chen got bachelor and master degrees from Sichuan University (2010) and Sun Yat-sen University (2012), respectively. He then obtained PhD degree from Laboratory of Advanced Materials at Fudan University in 2016. He then joined Department of Electronics and Computer science at University of Toronto as a postdoctoral fellow. After that, he joined Fudan University as an associate professor at December 2017. His current research mainly focuses on novel flexible electronic materials, device fabrication and function integration. Continuous and scalable manufacture of fiber electronics and their intelligence of interaction
Hongzhi Wang is professor of materials science and engineering, at State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials, Donghua University. He received Ph.D in 1998 at Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 2000 to 2005, he worked as post-doctor at Micro-space Chemistry Lab., National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Japan. In 2005, he jointed Donghua University as a full professor . His main research topics are devoted to i) Macroscopic-ordered 2D materials, ii) flexible materials for wearable applications, iii) functional fibers and textiles, iv) smart clothing. He has published over 200 papers in peer-review international journals, and granted over 50 patents, two of which have been commercialized in functional fiber industry in China.

董旭峰,大连理工大学教授、博士生导师,功能材料专业负责人。主要从事智能材料设计、制备及应用研究。近年来,面向智能材料发展趋势及学科前沿,针对电/磁驱动智能材料(电流变材料、磁流变材料、碳纳米管纤维等)基础力学性能及智能特性难以兼顾的瓶颈,研究其机理、制备及应用,重点解决此类智能材料力学性能及智能特性多功能兼备问题,并将电/磁驱动智能材料应用于结构减振、软体机器人、人工肌肉、先进能源、生物医学等领域。主持国家级项目6项,发表学术论文100余篇,主编英文学术著作1部,授权国家发明专利8项。

伍晖,1983年1月出生,博士,清华大学材料学院副教授。主要从事功能无机纳米材料和新能源材料的制备和应用研究。204年7月毕业于清华大学化学工程系高分子专业,2009年7月获清华大学工学博士学位,2009年7月起在美国斯坦福大学材料系从事博士后研究。2013年5月进入清华大学材料学院工作,任职副教授。从事纳米纤维和无机功能材料的合成、组装及其结构-功能一体化的研究。在Nature Chemistry,Nature Nanotechnology,Nature Communications等学术期刊发表论文150余篇,发表论文被应用超过20000次,H因子49。获得教育部青年科学奖、北京市杰青、基金委优青,麻省理工科技评论(MIT Technology Review)评选的2014年度35位35岁以下青年创新任务(35 Innovators Under 35, or TR35)。

刘修才博士是上海凯赛生物技术股份有限公司的创始人、董事长和总裁。凯赛生物是一家专注于合成生物学、生物材料研究及生物制造产业化的科创板上市公司(688065.SH),拥有生物法长链二元酸、生物基戊二胺、生物基聚酰胺等产业化生物技术。凯赛生物总部及研发中心位于上海浦东张江高科技园区,三个生产基地分别位于山东金乡、新疆乌苏以及山西太原。 刘博士毕业于中国科技大学近代化学系,于上世纪80年代留学美国,在美国威斯康星大学获生物化学博士学位,在哥伦比亚大学和耶鲁大学分别做博士后。随后,被美国山度士药物研究所聘为资深研究员。他于1994年回国创业,曾兼任北京大学博士后导师,主导过多项生物化工重大项目的产业化开发。在美国工作期间,刘博士创建了海外最大的华人专业团体“美中医药协会”(SAPA),并担任首届理事长。他曾被国际行业媒体评为2011/2012年度“全球对生物能源最有影响力的百名人物”。目前,他还兼任华东理工大学教授、博士生导师。

Wang Shihua, born in April 1968, Doctor of Engineering, researcher level senior engineer, is the chairman of Jiangsu Aoshen Hi-Tech Materials Co. 许伟,男,湖北仙桃人。2006年毕业于于四川大学高分子科学与工程学院,取得材料学硕士学位。同年进入中蓝晨光化工研究院,十五年来一直从事于特种有机纤维的研制与开发,承担了科技部、国防科工局,四川省科技厅等多项项目,主要参与研发的纤维品种包括芳纶III,PBO,PIPD等。2018年晋升为教授级高级工程师,现任中蓝晨光特纤事业部总经理助理。工作十余年来,累计申请发明专利二十余篇, 获授权十篇;发表相关论文十余篇。
